This is a reminder to all users of Web3D Consortium mailing lists, including X3D-Public, that it is is best practice, and common courtesy, to explicitly identify yourself
in the body of the message with a signature block or other closing salutation.
This is particularly relevant with the recent adjustment of the maiing list software configuration, with the change in the value of the From: header .
For example, the message you are now reading probably has a From: header like this:
From: vmarchetti--- via x3d-public <x3d-public at web3d.org>
( probably only visible if you look at "Raw Message" in your email client)
What your client software actually shows in the common user interface is entirely up to the whims of the client developers, and may not display any clue as to who posted the message.
So please identify yourself in the email body,
Thanks
Vince Marchetti
Web3D Consortium Secretary
