[x3d-public] Where has EnvironmentLight node gone?

Sorry but EnvironmentLight was not sufficiently complete to make the final
cut for X3D Architecture 4.0.  Summary status:

 

*	Mantis Issue Tracker 1336: 17.4.2 EnvironmentLight - Khronos glTF
extension for image based lighting
*	https://www.web3d.org/member-only/mantis/view.php?id=1336 (Web3D
Consortium member access)
*	Current copy attached

 

As I recall there were some questions about EnvironmentLight maturity in
glTF 2.0 as well.

 

If implementers get to a good level of correspondence, and draft
specification prose is produced, then X3D Working Group can consider this as
a Recommended Practice extension and begin the path towards a future X3D
4.1.

I wonder where the EnvironmentLight node has gone. I just implemented it, at
least diffuseTexture and specularTexture field. It should be delivered with
the next version of X_ITE.
