Thanks for further diagnosis Joe.

You can find your original that was used for the basis of this conversion in the subdirectory called “originals“ and it is also linked in the meta reference for this file. If files are not found at Web3D.org then then I will need to adjust the upload script.

As ever in this project, all primary source files are definitely found in sourceForge version control as well. As described in the chapter description, that link is.

  *   https://sourceforge.net/p/x3d/code/HEAD/tree/www.web3d.org/x3d/content/examples/HumanoidAnimation/WinterAndSpring/originals/

Comparison to originals can be helpful for checking on conversion issues. The Castle Game engine converter had only one warning, that it was adding all of the joints in the HAninHumanoid mode… a useful assist. 😎👍

As discussed, please note other warnings in the meta-data, such as illegal geometry that needs to get removed or moved.

v/r Don

Thanks, but, the today published Lief model displays has several ugly failures in X_ITE. Choose Look At and scroll to get it in range to view, then choose Examine to rotate. It operates by cycling through several different animations over a 100 second interval.

For the default view (X_ITE) several connections were broken in the code translation. Leif, Lily, Tufani models broken in same or similar ways, entry viewpoint, skin bindings, joint rotations, and others.

The file labelled X3D Model ("Original XML" although the model was submitted in.x3dv) works as expected in view3dscene.

The file labelled Classic VRML (derived from Classic input transcoded to xml then back to Classic) has simple error will not run.

The file labelled VRML97 will not run, having nodes not in VRML97.

The file labelled labelled Canonical XML worked fine in view3dscene when downloaded and renamed.

X3DOM selection fails - no TimeTrigger node?

X_ITE selection very badly broken for unknown reason(s) same as default view.

I was not able to find original input file.

As test, I was hoping to see complete Event Graph ROUTE Table for this model.

Joe

Joe, thanks for discussion and updates today.

  * X3D Example Archives: Humanoid Animation, Winter And Spring

Have updated Lief, Lily, Tufani, GrandKidsBox, and Test Cycle Time Start . These appear to work in view3dscene and X_ITE. Looks like X3DOM is missing TimeTrigger.

You need to fix Shape geometry that is direct child of HAnimJoint – invalid, not allowed, even if (sensibly) tolerated by some players.

I can keep adding models and regularizing names – diff/merge with version control keeps the best and avoids losing the rest.

Small adjustments are being applied to various tools as we go.

Always appreciate for your efforts, steady as she goes.

all the best, Don
