[x3d-public] Finding required fields (Appearance)

I’m looking for a way to determine whether an Appearance node is required,
viewable  in iOS Safari? Default is NULL in Shape, so I assume not.

I’m going to check X3D JSON Schema.  Safari bombs when searching on GitHub.

Any approach would be great, I may even try vim.
