[x3d-public] Jin Facial Animation Add/Delete Route example for Archive

Joe, it wouldn’t work in Castle due to unimplemented HAnimDisplacer, AFAIK,
as well.

It does work in FreeWRL and Sunrize. Probably scripts are possibly
portable to X3DOM. I haven’t tried X_ITE or X_ITE-vscode. My example has
a global script variable present due to FreeWRL not supporting 4 parameter
delete route, the global script variable causes a problem with BS Contact.
I don’t know if BS Contact supports HAnimDisplacer or not.

I have been really happy with Sunrize overall, and overcoming lack DIS
support is one of the things I want to do with my collaboration app,
JSONverse. To get JSONverse gatherings and sessions working properly, I
need a contacts app, which i am rewriting in X3D using Sunrize, which has
file system read (write?) access given (bonus!). I’m hoping to store
contacts and gatherings locally instead of having a remote server store
that information.

Holger has been very responsive to my requests for updates. Please support
his work on Patreon.

Sunrize is very easy to use and supports X3D JSON, HAnimDisplacers, and
glTF materials (beyond X3D4). You can also see the X3D hierarchy and the
console without contortions in a web browser.

Remember to hit the play button!

Let me know if you want to test with another X3D browser!

I used x3d-image to convert the glTF sample assets to images, because I
don’t know how to do it in Sunrize yet. Preconverting speeds things up. I
was able to load tens of glTF assets in, but sometimes there was an issue
with lightning and scaling of Inlines. I think images are better
currently, and quicker loading.

I did note that it’s difficult to put an image texture on a Rectangle2D in
Sunrize. I’m not sure what’s up? IndexedFaceSets work great though.

I’ll file a bug report.

John
