Searching for l_metatarsal and r_metatarsal aliases in X3DUOM:
egrep '[lr]_metatarsal[,"]|SimpleType'
~/X3DJSONLD/src/specifications/X3dUnifiedObjectModel-4.0.xml
Filtered results:
<SimpleType name="hanimJointNameValues"
alias="r_metatarsal,r_tarsal_distal_interphalangeal"
</SimpleType>
<SimpleType name="hanimSegmentNameValues"
alias="l_midproximal,l_metatarsal"
</SimpleType>
So r_tarsal is a joint alias, and l_metatarsal is a segment alias.
The rest of the right and left metatarsals 1,2,3,4,5 are segments,
according to the standard hierarchy.
Apologies for this message not being clear.
Now back to adding sites to Joe Kick.
I realize that human bodies may not be symmetrical.
This is really the first time I've put aliases to a test, using them to map
V1 to V2.
John
