Thanks for posting Doug. The Web3D Calendar shows a meeting this coming
Wednesday morning, November 19.
- This Special Interest Group on AI with X3D aims to explore, develop,
and promote the integration of artificial intelligence technologies within
the X3D framework. The group will focus on enhancing 3D graphics, improving
user experiences, and driving innovation across various industries through
the application of AI. This meeting is open to all.
- Meets Every 3rd Wed of the Month at GMT-4 (6:00 AM Pacific )

The charter for this group can be found at
- *AI with X3D* <https://www.web3d.org/working-groups/ai-x3d>
- This preliminary charter serves as a discussion document for the
Special interest Group on AI with X3D, outlining its purpose, objectives,
and operational framework. The group is committed to advancing the
intersection of AI and 3D graphics, fostering innovation, and promoting
collaboration among its members and the broader community. If X3D models
include metadata and common best practices that support AI training and 3D
model generation, powerful new capabilities might arise.

This workshop on Generative AI for 3D content aims to explore, develop,
and promote the interaction of artificial intelligence technologies within
interactive 3D content and services on the Web. The workshop will focus on
enhancing 3D graphics, improving user experiences, and driving innovation
across various industries through the application of AI. We welcome
presenters and participants:
- To identify and document best practices for the application of AI in
Web3D.
- To develop guidelines and standards for integrating AI algorithms
with Web3D technologies.
- To facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing among members and
external stakeholders.
- To promote research and development of AI-driven tools that enhance
3D graphics and applications.
- To address challenges and ethical considerations in the use of AI
within the Web3D context.
(cough cough moment)... um 6 am pacific is pretty early, my brain cells
aren't usually booted up at that time. thank goodness our coffee supply is
still holding out OK. 😃 ☕
all the best, Don
