I have finally written up work I did last year on mobile device
orientation control. The library allows you to control the
orientation of the view of an X3D model by orienting a mobile
device. The work comprised stereographic split-screen shader code
provided by Fraunhofer and device orientation tracking based on work
done by Fraunhofer and inverted. The orientation controller library
and example HTML are on GitHub. The article is at
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://realism.com/blog/tracking-device-motion">http://realism.com/blog/tracking-device-motion</a>. The link to GitHub
is in the article. <br>
<br>
At this time, the library is prototype code that only handles a
single model. It is not for use in environments (such as
Fraunhofer's classroom example). The stereographic display is
designed for cardboard-like displays. The warping for Rift or other
more complex displays is not included.<br>
