  • Description
  • Relevant standards, as appropriate
    • for example X3D Graphics, X3D Compressed Binary Encoding, Humanoid Animation, Augmented Reality (AR), etc.
  • What capability might it add
  • Are there patents or license restrictions?
  • is the contributor a Member of Web3D Consortium?
  • Is an example implementation available?
  • Is the example implementation open source or proprietary?
  • Are there any usage examples (content or code)?
  • Are there test cases?
  • Is there documentation available?
  • Willingness to provide a briefing or participate in X3D Working Group efforts on this topic?
  • Goals regarding any public announcements regarding this contribution
  • Additional individuals involved
  • Open issues and future work

Our primary goal at first is just to get a sense of what you hope to accomplish.

Contributors often decide to Join the Web3D Consortium to help protect their valuable investments of effort for the entire Web. All submissions, if accepted, need to follow the Web3D Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Policy.

Open dialog on the x3d-public mailing list is also welcome (but not required).

You are welcome to contact the X3D Working Group cochairs and discuss your goals. Experience has shown that thoroughness and diligence are the key is to get the technology done correctly and well.

Thank you for considering the possibilities.
