Yes, it is b/c there only has to be one installer file for both platforms.  upon installation and after the first invocation of Xj3D, any irrelevant file for the particular platform will be deleted.  i.e. if the run.bat file were installed onto Linux, the first invocaction would delete it, but keep the run.sh, etc.
