Hi Holger,

Cobweb looks great and really useful. In many ways, it looks like it was
designed to complement x3dom as a plugin free x3d browser. It seems to
encapsulate an x3d scene from the embedding web page allowing protos and
x3d scripting. On the other it seems that manipulating the scene from the
'outside' would need a SAI implementation since the x3d nodes are not
registered as html elements (as in x3dom). Or perhaps cobweb already
provides an API to the scene/browser ?

Is the reason that cobweb only works with firefox the lack of Proxy object
support in other browsers ? Are there other constraints ?

Could you provide some background to how the code is designed and what the
goals for cobweb are ?
