Christoph

An alternative development tool for your project would be X3D-Edit ( https://savage.nps.edu/X3D-Edit/ ) which is straightforward to install as a plugin to the Netbeans IDE, see the instructions in the "Netbeans Plugin" section of https://savage.nps.edu/X3D-Edit/#Downloads. X3D-Edit will enable creation and editing of your X3D file (XML encoding) with tools for populating X3D fields and continuous validation of your model; along with viewing the model in both Xj3D and in other X3D browsers you have installed. X3D-Edit will also aid you in preparing HTML pages with your model encoded for viewing in a web browser using either X3DOM or X_ITE.

Please continue to ask questions and keep us informed of your progress.
