[x3d-public] X3D-Edit will not install on Macintosh El Capitan

Hello,

I am trying to get X3D-Edit to install on OSX 10.11.6 [El Capitan].

I installed and enabled the latest Java 8 Runtime as per the instructions
and then executed the main install sh script. This calls another sh script
to check for Java which then aborts.

Any help would be appreciated.

I was hoping to add some X3D-Edit slides to my BOF at SIGGRAPH about Siri
and X3D-Edit. Otherwise I'll just leave X3D-Edit out of the presentation.
