sure... no special significance implied, it was just that the paper explaining this interesting example wasn't immediately evident.

we didn't get too far... it was an interesting library for NURBS that appeared to be in danger of getting lost, and we thought it would help various X3D/Xj3D efforts.  since then we've gotten super busy building out CAD capabilities for X3D.

good luck getting improvements for NURBS support.  implementations have had varied quality, it would be super to have first-class NURBS capabilities available in X3D.
