7th in a series on the rise and demise of HTTP-GETing documents over the internet

OpenInventor 10.1+JS+Web.  For real?   Or vaporware?  Working demo anyone?  What happened to Distributed Open Inventor?


The below examples look like screen shots.   Any live examples I don’t have to build?  Do I need to use Edge?


iam here, this may be your solution to provide rich graphics on the web.  Probably you’ll need a fast server though.   I haven’t tried it though.

All the more reason to spend your money on AWS instead of graphics cards for everyone.  RTX 2060’s are $350 last I checked.

Does Web3D have a streaming solution for declarative graphics (cameras, lights, etc.)?  That is, continuous/continual and declarative input from a server or client?

Do we need a streaming solution for X3DJSAIL?  A done() function to complete a node? Does HTML5 DOM already have a done function?


Should we make X3DJSONLD/X3DOM/X_ITE capable of receiving streamed JSON?  Is it any different than streamed XML via StAX/StAXON?  I know we stepped away from JSON streaming parsers to use standard parsers.  Should we reinvestigate this to see if streaming parsers are widely available?  Do we need to give up validation if we go with streaming JSON or XML?

Don, does StAXON make JSON malleable for XSLT?

I can’t remember Groovy’s name.  Hey I remembered!
