I think this is a wonderful example of HTML + 3D user experience. The 3D situation is poised behind the article as background. As the reader scrolls through the article, large breaks between some paragraphs provide space for the 3D to elevate into the foreground, allowing 3D examination. Further scrolling nudges 3D just into background will the article continues. This repeats to good effect several times, with different 3D aspects becoming prominent each time.

The print version takes a full page to describe "The Science - Social Distancing, Why 6 Feet?" with 6 small vignette images + a large layout image, peppered with storyboard-style captions across the scenario.

A compelling experience and outstanding exemplar... and thus also a good imperative for Web3DUX content interoperability across all platforms, players and publication media, archivally.

Check question: I didn't see anything that wasn't possible today using X3D4 (with Volume Rendering component) + HTML5. Additional opinions welcome.

all the best, Don
