Thanks for your comment. We have entered this in Mantis as issue 1451 and applied the change in version.

*	Event interface touchup table 6.2
*	https://www.web3d.org/member-only/mantis/view.php?id=1451

We specifically think that the following change to row 4 is appropriate.

*	Table 6.2 — SAI request conventions
*	https://web3d.org/specifications/X3Dv4Draft/ISO-IEC19775-2v4.0-WD1/Part02/services.html#t-Conventions

events:                The first event

The second event

(any additional events)

We have approved and applied this change.

We do not think any modifications to 6.3.14 loadURL are necessary. Please advise if you think we missed anything.

Thanks your helpful contribution.

all the best, Don

Don, Richard, the image in this email was too large to send to the public list.

Possible important update to SAI Table 6.2 “events:” row, one needs to add a third event to match 6.3.14 loadURL section’s 3 events.

I don’t know browsers well enough to know whether SAI generates all these events or not.

Please forward/include in Mantis.

I looked through the changes, and did not see anything else warranting further wordsmithing.

John

Don, I noticed that Table 6.2 had “events:” (in the first column) as “The first event” “The second event” (in the second column), but there is 6.3.14 loadURL (below) which has 3 events. My suggestion would be to add “The third event” as a phrase in the second column of Table 6.2, along with the other two events.

No, I do not know how I do this without reading the standard carefully.

X3D Stakeholders:

Dick and I completed our review of all 19775-2 Scene Access Interface (SAI) general issues today. We think it is ready for submission as an ISO/IEC Working Draft (WD).

Issue list attached with the majority all resolved. Six remain that deserve consideration once we review later in the year how some programming languages “get the job done” for X3D. We prefer to leave these issues open in the SAI Working Draft while we continue updating other X3D programming-language bindings that implement 19775-2.

*	https://www.web3d.org/member-only/mantis/view_all_bug_page.php
*	Screenshot summary and text listing of all issues attached
*	https://web3d.org/specifications/X3Dv4Draft/ISO-IEC19775-2v4.0-WD1

As described below, here are next steps:

*	Immediate: Call for comments and 10 days review, x3d-public and Web3D Consortium members.
*	1200 pacific Friday 16 FEB: editors review of all comments, and completion of Working Draft version.
*	We then submit WD 1 for Web3D Consortium Board of Directors review and subsequent ISO submission.

Thanks for all review and many efforts. Have fun with X3D!

all the best, Don

Hi Dick, hope all is well.

I have gone through all 11 of the remaining 11 SAI issues in Mantis, addressing most.

Am thinking we can get through all of them on Monday, with later discussion in next X3D Standards Working Group meeting (please note that I will miss next Friday 9 FEB). For consideration during our upcoming review session (planned for this Monday afternoon, 1600 pacific), suggested timeline:

*	Call for comments and 2 weeks review, x3d-public and Web3D Consortium members,
*	Resolution in February, perhaps 2 or 3 issues remaining open in this Working Draft while we continue updating other X3D programming-language bindings that implement 19775-2,
*	Submit WD 1 for Web3D Consortium Board of Directors approval (and then ISO balloting) by end of month.

Thanks for continuing steady progress, take care.

Membership has value – have fun with X3D SAI! 😊

all the best, Don
