Seems to indicate that vertex_groups (skin weights) can be applied to
non-bone objects.  Can someone confirm? We might be able to toss armature
and bones entirely.  The question is, will we be able to do HAnim, perhaps
through DEF/name?  What do we do if a model has an armature?
