The X3D Examples, X3D-Edit implementation, X3D-Tidy, X3DUOM autogeneration,
and variety of other Web3D open-source tools are all tested using latest
Saxon HE (Home Edition) because
- it is open source and thus widely repeatable,
- It tracks XSLT and XPath improvements well,
- We have not needed any of the advanced features offered by alternative
commercial versions of Saxon,
- it is stable and proven for all our many XSLT conversion applications.
All Java versions online at
- Saxonica: Java downloads <https://www.saxonica.com/download/java.xml>
- https://www.saxonica.com/download/java.xml
A few days ago I tested SaxonHE12-9J (Java) and it handled a complex build
task without hiccups. I plan to gradually upgrade and test various current
implementations using SaxonHE12-8J over the coming weeks.
all the best, Don
