[x3d-public] candidate project: DICOM image format loader for X3D

Mike, you have suggested that a good project might be building a DICOM image loader that uses X3D.

Hoping that you and others on the medical working group might be able to describe the specific goals and potential outcomes a bit further, so that interested individuals might be able to look more closely at this possibility.

Am finding the DICOM standards online.  Wondering which sections are most relevant?

Your suggesting this project possibility is much appreciated.  The topic seems really interesting, especially when we all consider that X3D diagnostic scenes might be able to improve everyone's health care and supporting medical records.
