I took the next step in adopting the x3dom Siena Duomo example scene for
WebVR. The scene has a nice animation for the viewpoint to tour the full
length of the church. The VR scene now preserves the animation at about a
third of the pace while still allowing for independent looking and moving
of the head.

The experience in the HMD feels quite comfortable and distinct from the
regular screen display.

It was natural to use a Transform around the viewpoint for the animation
and the viewpoint itself be controlled by the HMD orientation and position.

is my attempt to explain the setup and

has a capture of the static vp.

around to adopting Michael Blix's injection code to put the x3dom Siena

you do not need a headset or even a special browser version to start
experimenting with webvr.
