[x3d-public] developing blender++--python scenegraph editor

Has anyone developed a python scenegraph editor, perhaps as an extension to
blender, using x3d.py?
We're looking a creating a RPG "scenegraph" editor for editing constructor
calls (not just in a text editor, more like a GUI builder for newbies).
We will probably extend X3DUOM and x3d.py.
