[x3d-public] line numbers in xslt output; xslt debugging

Can we have comments with source line number in XSLT generated files?
This might allow round-tripping.

I think this is called "debugging symbols."

I'm considering enhancing/creating programs (possibly XSLT) to add
source line number information to the output. In output comments of course!

Perhaps we could have one program which takes all possible stylesheets
on input.  Output language could be a parameter.  Or comment start/end
marker parameters.

I'm guessing something like this may already exist?

Looks like there's XSLT debuggers.  Hmm.  I hadn't thought of that
before!  How does that work with XSLTs for X3DUOM processing?
