I think the first step may be to advance a streaming World Wide Web. That
is,  immediate mode, not structured mode.

We have two types of serializers in X3DJSONLD, one that looks like a
hierarchical document and one that looks like a list of commands.   We just
need to advance XML and other encodings into streaming.   I believe this
has been done with StAX as well, but I don’t know the details.

Can streaming be done with documents?

The world is not a document, AFAIK.

Note that you can do networking in user space to advance the number of
connections on a server.

What is a “scene”?   Do we need emitted and collected object ids?
