Hi Cristoph, hope you are well.

I think that collaboration is one of the most important things we do, and continue building capabilities that extend/support X3D in that regard.

As for Web3D Consortium, that is the mission:  “Open Standards for Real-Time 3D Communication”

Spent this weekend upgrading DisTime class in open-dis7-java for Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) for continued tuning of track-streams conversion into X3D interpolators.  IEEE DIS standard is a fully distributed peer-to-peer protocol for shared state.  The journey continues…

About "collaboration":

I am not 100% sure, but I think, Don once told me collaboration not being one of the "core" topics at Web3D.

So I think, defining virtual reality via the term of collaboration might be problematic.
