Subject: [x3d-public] X3DJSAIL on the web

Is the intended use of X3DJSAIL on the web building web apps that use X3DJSAIL on the server side?

*	Java can be used on client or on server.
*	X3DJSAIL has no graphical user interface (GUI) so it can be used as part of Java applications for X3D in either location.

Because at one point, i thought we had it running in Jupyter Notebook or similar?

*	Jupyter is for python.
*	Several people have used x3d.py (X3DPSAIL) in python applications.

Can we state that x3d.py and X3DJSAIL should not be used on the web categorically, or are we going to continue to support programming language encodings, which should only be used on the server?

*	Many paths for progress exist, all improving consistently throughout.
*	I never tell people what they can’t do when using X3D.

It’s likely that i’ll not run a Java, JavaScript or Python server on my main server, because i run only php there.

*	Have fun with X3D!  8)

Thanks!

John
