It seems the bridging mode (aka TAP mode) is not supported any more in OpenVPN 3.

You'll probably have to use OpenVPN 2 or you will have to implement a solution based on routing VPN (which is probably feasible).

We made Doug's example running over our VPN.

Our VPN did not forward the DIS PDUs towards multicast address 239.255.1.117[http://239.255.1.117].

The reason was easy enough. I had to tell our OpenVPN server to do a bridged VPN instead of a routed VPN.

Thank you for your help with debugging. You were right, the crash was caused by a missing DEF name in the <Transform> node that the <TouchSensor> is a child of.
