[x3d-public] Hosting provider for multiple DIS simulations world

I am querying a couple of my “students” to see if they want to set up DIS.   I am unfamiliar with DIS, and wonder if it can run over the wild a wooly internet, or if it’s better on a LAN or virtual LAN?

Has anyone deployed open-dis javascript and can help with configuration of DIS server (I guess) over skype?

Should I set up a laptop with a DIS system too (Is it peer to peer?).

Does anyone have a bot script that hunts people down and shoots them?   LOL

Can I reasonably expect good performance between Iowa and Connecticut?

Does anyone have a review of these people? Particularly their Python API.   Say I’d like to put it in a JupyterLab?
