  *   Neither library restricts subclassing.  That kind of approach is up to an individual programmer.
  *   Both libraries (successfully) strive for strict exact conformance and complete coverage with X3D4, to support creation of error-free content.
  *   Have fun with X3D!   8)

Have people thought of subclassing x3d.py and X3DJSAIL?   What are the possibilities?

* rendering?
* supporting additional encodings? HTML as recently shown.

Those are the only things in recent history I can think of.

Do people feel comfortable subclassing from the architecture?
