See image for fork and pull request buttons on github.

If you want your own copy of a repository, go to the repository and hit the
"Fork" button, see attached image.

If you want to take changes to your copy of a repository and incorporate
them back into the original repository, you can do a pull request by
clicking on the "Pull Requests" tab, see attached image.

Have fun with repositories on GitHub.

Note;  repositories that are private remain private.

Remember to be careful when selecting which repository you're doing a pull
request to.
